Ghost Rider

Ghost Rider on Ebay
Ghost Rider Western #1-7, February - November 1967.

Marvel's first character to be called Ghost Rider was a Western hero. A publisher called Magazine Enterprises had created a Western character dressed all in white, wearing a full white mask, who had appeared in his own Night Rider and other titles. After the copyright on that hero ran out, Stan Lee at Marvel revived him, calling him the Ghost Rider and publishing stories starting in 1967.

This is, of course, a completely different character from the later flaming-skull, motorcycle-riding Marvel hero.
