Girl Comics Marvel/Atlas Comics published their Girl Comics series between October 1949 and January 1952. It lasted 11 issues.

Predictably, this was a romance/humor/drama anthology meant to appeal to adolescent girls. Comics for girls had gotten their start a few years previous, when Simon and Kirby created the genre of romance comics with Young Romance, thereby opening up the (primarily) all-boys' club which had mostly been focused on action/adventure.

A number of skilled creators worked on the series, including Joe Kubert, Mike Esposito, Al Hartley, and Russ Heath.

With issue #13 the title would become Girl Consfessions.
