Monsters of the Movies, unlike Marvel's other attempts at monster-themed magazines (i.e., Monster Madness or Dracula Lives!), was neither humor- oriented nor a comic story magazine. Instead, it attempted to be a mid-70's copy of Famous Monsters - in other words, just like 95% of all other monster mags in existence.
The attempt wasn't actually that bad. Combining freelance material with work from Marvel's staffers and regular contributors, the cover artwork was always very good. The interiors contained the usual articles, photo stills, and retrospectives.
