Like Jungle Comics and Rangers Comics, this was a Fiction House book that was modeled after a previously-existing pulp magazine from the same publisher. Wings, the magazine title, had been going since early 1928 and would run almost as long as the comic, into 1953.
Naturally, during the war the comic was primarily devoted to Allied characters getting into dogfights with Nazi pilots and suchlike. After the war, Commies became the main badguys. Captain Wings was a primary character; also featured were the Phantom Falcon and the Ghost Squadron.
